• Foreign ministers in the European Union are set to agree to suspend a visa facilitation arrangement with Moscow, forcing Russians to wait longer and pay more for permits, while the group remains divided over an outright EU travel embargo, Reuters reported.

• North Korea plans to dispatch workers to the Russia-controlled eastern Ukrainian areas of Donetsk and Luhansk, providing Pyongyang with a much-needed source of foreign currency, the Wall Street Journal noted. Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to provide sophisticated weapons and military equipment to friends, even as North Korea pursues new assets such as hypersonic missiles.

• Russia has purchased lethal drones from Iran to target Ukrainian troops, highlighting Russia’s diminishing stockpiles of precise weapons more than six months after its invasion, according to US authorities, USA Today wrote. However, there are indications that the Russians are dissatisfied with the acquisition due to the questionable reliability of the drones.
